Clemens Wopper Rapier 3 -- [BLUNT/SHARP]
Clemens Wopper Rapier 3 -- [BLUNT/SHARP]
This rapier is based on a piece by early 17th century German sword-maker Clemens Wopper which is on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
The hilt is formed of delicate hexagonal bars with large twisted ball details on the quillions, finger rings and outer rings. The counterguard is an unusual style formed from intersecting loops. The pommel is partially hollow and features the same design motif. It secures with a 6mm pommel nut.
Both guard and pommel are laser sintered 316L Stainless steel. PLEASE NOTE: The guard and pommel have some small gouges in them from errors in the fabrication process. They’ve been polished out but are still visible. The price has been adjusted accordingly.
The blunt 37” blade is a Hanwei practice rapier blade for stage combat—it is also available with a similar sharp blade by Kingston Arms.
The spiral carved grip is solid PETG wrapped in purple leather and steel wire.
Optional black leather scabbard with white brass fittings.
Overall weight is 2.1 lbs, and the POB is +3.25" in front of the guard. The sword is 43" long overall.
