Clemens Wopper Rapier & Dagger 5 -- Cochiolo Blade [SHARP]
Clemens Wopper Rapier & Dagger 5 -- Cochiolo Blade [SHARP]
This rapier is based on a piece by early 17th century German sword-maker Clemens Wopper which is on display at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I’ve created a matching parrying dagger design to go with it.
The sword hilt is formed of hexagonal bars with large twisted ball details on the quillions, finger rings and outer rings. The counterguard is an unusual style formed from intersecting loops. The pommel is partially hollow and features the same design motif. It secures with a 6mm pommel nut.
Guards and pommels are laser sintered 316L Stainless steel with an antiqued finish.
The rapier is mounted with a multi-fullered 39” sharp blade by Nicholas Cochiolo. The dagger sports a single fullered blade.
The spiral carved grips are solid PETG wrapped in steel wire with bronze-colored wire accents and turk’s head knots.
Rapier-
Blade Length: 39”
Overall Length: 45.25”
Weight: 2.42 lbs.
POB: +4.75”
Dagger-
Blade Length: 12”
Overall Length: 18”
Weight: 1.1 lbs.
The rapier comes with a leather scabbard with brass fittings (if you prefer black/sliver, or black/brass, let me know). I can build a scabbard for the dagger that will be a close match to the rapier scabbard for and additional $250.
