This bastard sword was inspired by the cover art for Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas. The cover illustration is by Marci Caruso. On my interpretation the steel guard and pommel are deeply etched with Celtic knotwork and electroplated in brass.

This particular sword was commissioned for a wedding celebration. The pommel sports a pair of 30 mm green agate cabochons and the blade is etched with custom text and a faux gilded flame design that runs the full length of both sides of the blade.

The blunt steel blade is by Nick Cochiolo. The grip is solid PETG covered in black leather and bound with brass wire. The mid-grip ring is etched brass.
