Anton Schuch Rapier 4 -- [SHARP]

$0.00

This is my fourth reproduction of one of several matching weapons by Anton Schuch for the Saxon Trabantenleibgarde c.1600. One is detailed here: http://www.lennartviebahn.com/arms_armour/antiques/rapier_anton_schuch.html

Two other nearly identical swords are on display at the Walters Museum in Baltimore and the Philadelphia Museum of Art (pictures with black background show the antique original).

The two-ring guard is laser sintered stainless steel. The round pommel is mild steel. Both are blued to match the orginals. The grip is PETG covered in leather and wire. The pommel is threaded 5/16-18.

My recreation is mounted with a sharp blade taken from Museum Replicas’ Munich Town Guard sword.

Weight is 2.7 lbs. The blade is 33" long, and the sword is 39" overall. The sword balances 4.5" in front of the quillions.

The scabbard is leather with steel fittings, also by Museum Replicas.
