Cutout Hilt Sidesword 2 -- [SHARP]
Cutout Hilt Sidesword 2 -- [SHARP]
For this sword I borrowed the guard design from one antique weapon and the pommel from another and combined them on a wide, military-style rapier/sidesword blade. The end result is quite pleasing in the hand. The pierced pommel doesn’t have a lot of mass, but the relatively short and well ground blade keep it quite maneuverable.
The 2-ring guard is blued laser sintered stainless steel with stacked side rings and a 3-bar counterguard. The pommel is keyed to the tang and secures with a pommel nut threaded 6x1mm. Grip is steel wire over solid PETG with brass turks head knots.
The blade is a Kinston Arms sidesword blade, which is very sharp.
The scabbard, also by Kingston Arms is leather over fiberglass with steel fittings.
