5 Ring Rapier 5 -- [HEMA]
This hilt is formed of delicate hexagonal bars that make up a symmetrical 5-ring design with an etched plate covering the top rings. The guard plate secures with screws.
The guard is laser sintered 316L Stainless steel, blued to a dark finish. The pommel is threaded 6mm. The grip is PETG covered in brown leather and bound with black wire and turks head knots.
It is mounted with a 42” Darkwood Bated Rapier Blade for HEMA fencing.
The scabbard is leather over a flexible core with brass fittings.
The sword was originally built (and photographed) with a bright steel guard plate with dark etching, but the buyer requested a darkened plate with faux-gilded etching (see final pictures)
Overall weight is 2.8 lbs, and the POB is +4" in front of the quillions. The sword is 48.5" long overall.
