This rapier was commissioned as a gift to honor the completion of a PhD. in Paleontology. The guard is a classic swept hilt style but the end of the knucklebow has a tiny nod to their academic specialty, the study of ancient fishes. The hilt is laser sintered stainless steel. The sharp blade is by Kingston Arms.
