Rapier & Sidesword Matched Pairs -- [HEMA]
This commission was for two matched left/right sets for dual-sword HEMA combat—one pair of sideswords, and one pair of rapiers. All four weapons share a blue resin-filled cross motif and feature a lion rampant in black.
The sideswords are designed with a 3 bar swept guard on the outside of the hand and lugs on the inside. The middle panel of the 3-bar sweep is filled with pierced plate.
The rapiers have an etched shell guard on the outside, supported by a larger side ring, and a 3-bar counterguard on the inside with the middle panel filled.
The rapier and sidesword blades are by Castille Armory.
The grips are PETG covered in black leather and bound with steel wire. The rapiers are threaded 6mm, the sideswords 8mm.
