Irish Wedding Sword -- [SHARP]
Irish Wedding Sword -- [SHARP]
This sword was commissioned as a wedding gift for the bride from the groom, to celebrate her Scots-Irish heritage.
The strongly flared and curled quillions with quatrefoil piercings on this guard are based on Irish archeological finds. This style of ring pommel is also typically associated with Irish swords.
It’s mounted with the blade from Hanwei’s Scottish Single Handed Sword, which is narrow, lightweight and very sharp. The blade is etched with a faux-gilded Celtic love knot.
The pommel secures with a pommel nut. The grip is white leather over PETG. The scabbard is white faux leather over a wood core.
