This spadroon is mounted with an antique blade—unclear if the blade was ever originally mounted, but it came to my customer as a bare blade. I’ve mounted it in a pierced hilt made of blackened stainless steel with a brass pommel nut. The antique blade is tremendously nimble—-huge distal taper and deep hollow grinding make it very fast. The tang is peened. The scabbard is black leather with brass fittings.
