For his 70th birthday, this customer commissioned a special piece based on an antique he had encountered. The very wide blade is from a Cold Steel cutlass. It’s mounted on a hanger-style hilt with an upturned shell guard and Sambar stag antler grip. The grip is finished with a steel pommel cap.
