This sword hilt is based on an antique piece which was likely “mass produced” for military service, given its simplified boxy basket.
I’ve recreated the pattern in 13 gauge steel and mounted it on a 36” Castille short feder blade.
The grip is wrapped in black stingray skin with brass ferrules.
The hilt secures with a pommel nut threaded 8mm.
