This basket hilt is based on an antique sword from the Royal Welsh Fusilers company. It has a cast bronze grip replicating what was probably repousse brasswork over wood on the original. The sharp lenticular-section blade was made by Darkwood Armory and is etched with the makers mark of Samuel Harvey, a British blademaker who crafted the original blade.
The scabbard is black leather over a flexible core with brass fittings.
