This 8-buckle baldric was modeled on a piece in a painting, and made to match the scabbard and grip of the mortuary sword in the pictures.
The “back” section is made of two pieces with a scalloped connection, and the “front” section curves gently and tapers to meet the hanger, where it is interlaced with the top section of scabbard loops.
The scabbard loops are closed sliders, so they can be adjusted to the size of the scabbard. The buckles are brass.
