This cutlass/hanger has a hilt purloined from the Hanwei Practical Mortuary Sword paired with the blade from Hanwei’s Revolutionary War Hanger to create a sword inspired by the weapon Captain Flint wields in the first season of Black Sails. That prop weapon was built using this same hilt.
The hilt is stainless steel and secures with a 6mm pommel nut. The sharp steel blade has a deeply etched faux-antique finish. The grip is pebbled black leather over a PETG core bound with steel wire.
The scabbard is leather over a wood core with steel fittings.
