This bastard sword was inspired by the cover art for Kingdom of Ash by Sarah J. Maas. The cover illustration is by Marci Caruso. On my interpretation the steel guard and pommel are deeply etched with Celtic knotwork and electroplated in brass. The pommel sports huge 30 mm faceted ruby glass cabochons on each side—I can do these in red, or I have some other alternatives including blue glass and several beautiful polished shell options.
The sharp steel blade is by Hanwei. Etching runs down both sides of the blade, picked out with faux-gilding.
The grip is solid PETG covered in black leather and bound with brass wire. The mid-grip ring is brass.
