Printed Armory Viscount v2 Hilt Fittings
Printed Armory Viscount v2 Hilt Fittings
These hilt fittings are designed and modeled by Mike Jia and cast in low carbon steel by Universal Swords. They are designed to fit Hanwei/Tinker Sharp Longsword blade, although some tang or fitting modifications may be necessary to achieve a good fit. The inlet in the guard is designed to fit the sharp version of this blade only, not the blunt.
The crossguard casting is solid steel, but I do NOT recommend it for HEMA use. The steel is slightly softer than previous runs of PA parts and will get bent or chewed up in heavy blade-to-guard action. We are working with Universal to cast future runs in a tougher alloy.
The pommel is designed to be secured with a recessed hex nut. If you already have an H/T sword and are replacing the fittings, your existing nut should work fine. If you are building a sword from scratch please add a hex nut and hex wrench to your order. Those can be found HERE.
Pommel weighs 160g/0.35 lbs.
At this time fittings can only be purchased together as a set—guards and pommels are not being sold separately.
This listing is for 1 guard and 1 pommel ONLY. Blade and hex nut are not included.
If you are planning a project with a peened tang and want a pommel without the larger hole for the hex nut, drop me an email. I have pommels available with a 1/4” hole.
Fittings should ship anywhere in the US for ~$10 via USPS flat rate box. If you need international shipping, please email me at info@jessebelsky.com with your complete shipping address and a phone number for customs paperwork, and what you’d like to order. I will send you a link to a custom listing that includes shipping and you can complete your purchase with a credit card.
