This singlesword has a cast brass Indian-made cutlass hilt whose blade I stole for another project. I’ve remounted it with a 35” Musketeer blade, so it’s a perfect lightweight and nimble SAFD-style singlesword, but a little more attractive than your standard sport fencing saber hilt.

The grip is dyed bone wrapped with brass wire.

The hilt secures with a 6mm pommel nut. I’ve used a solid metal epee collar to match the guard’s larger tang slot to the square epee tang.
