This spear has a 3/16” thick blade made from 7075-T6 Aluminum. The tang of the spearhead extends a ways down the haft and is sandwiched inside the wooded shaft of the spear and secured with bolts and epoxy.  The haft is laminated hickory (from Purpleheart Armoury), and the spearhead and haft are bound with brown leather cord.

The spear handle itself is 42” long, with 36” of wood below the wings of the spearhead. The spear-blade from wings to tip is 22.5”. The whole weapon is 58.5” long.
