This is a Hanwei basket mounted on a Darkwood backsword blade. It makes for a very nimble HEMA trainer for Highland Broadsword or similar. The Darkwood blade is 32” long with a fuller. The hilt is the one that comes on Hanwei’s sharp basket hilt, and the grip is simple leather over wood with steel ferrules (from a Hanwei practical basket). A thick leather pad provides for a little additional comfort.
