This basket hilted sword sports a Darkwood backsword blade mounted on a hilt that I did not make. It’s taken from an Indian-made wallhanger which I’ve reshaped to make functional. Unlike many reproduction baskets, the overall size and proportion of this one is quite well done—only the shaping of the bars where the grip meets the hilt was done without regard for the ergonomics of the human hand. With that corrected, it’s very comfortable.

The grip is wood bound with leather and wire. The pommel secures with an 8mm nut.
