This bastard sword was commissioned for a wedding celebration. The guard and pommel are brass-plated steel. The mid-grip ring is etched with a vine detail, and a cluster of raised leaves decorated the sides of the crossguard. The same leaf decoration frames the wedding date, etched and faux gilded on the blade.
