This sword is the groom’s half of a pair of wedding swords. The design features the Galilean moons of Jupiter on the blade and a personal monogram of the couples’ own devising on one side of the brass hilt and a diagram of planetary alignments on the other.
The short leaf blade is by Albion Swords (a Jody Samson design), finish ground by me. The guard is brass, and the grip walnut with a brass spacing ring in the middle. The hilt secures with a recessed hex nut hidden below a brass cap.
The scabbard is blue leather over a wood core with carved details and brass knotwork bands to attaching it to a brass knotwork belt clip.
