This Mortuary sword has an etched hilt and pommel. It's mounted with a 33.5” SHARP broadsword blade pulled from a Hanwei scottish basket hilt. The hilt is made from 10 ga. mild steel with screws securing the side guards and knucklebow to the pommel. It’s constructed with a sort of vestigial crossguard seen on many original mortuary swords which protrudes through the dish hilt and supports the blade more robustly. The pommel secures with a pommel nut threaded 6x1mm metric. Grip is PETG covered in blue-gray leather with silver twisted wire.
This sword come with a leather covered scabbard with metal fittings (also from the Hanwei Scottish Broadsword)
