This cup hilt rapier is built for HEMA with a faux-ricasso that sleeves the true tang. The lathe turned quillions and knucklebow are steel, as is the cup (which is 18ga. with a rolled edge). The cup is notched to the quillions, and pinned in place between the ricasso and the blade shoulder. A brass spacer sits between the blade and the cup. The grip is brass wire over solid PETG. Pommel is threaded 6mm.

The blade is by Dynamo Lugansk, made from 8mm stock with a diamond cross section and a nail tip. Good flex, but stiff. I can easily remove the nail tip.

Weight is 2.65 lbs, POB is +4.25 from the quillions. Blade length is 40” from the quillions. Overall length of the sword is 45.5".
