This rapier is based on a film prop used by Madds Mikkelsen's Rochefort in the 2011 version of The Three Musketeers.  It's an ambidextrous design featuring an ornately etched plate and two sweeping side rings.  

The hilt is steel, and the etched plate is secured with steel screws and then welded in place. The spiral carved grip is ABS with a steel wire wrap and brass wire turk's head knots.  

This hilt is mounted with a custom Arms & Armor HEMA blunt mad from 6150 High Carbon Steel.   The A&A blunt is lovely and long with a flat cross section at the foible for extra flex.

The sword is 3.125 lbs, and the POB is about 4" in front of the guard. The sword is 51" long overall, with a 44" blade.
