This rapier was commissioned as a graduation gift for a student finishing their Masters degree.
The sword has a fantasy aesthetic with curling vine elements and a piece of raw amethyst held in each side ring. The purple color of the amethysts is echoed in the rayskin grip and scabbard. The pommel is etched with the owner’s personal sigil.
The scabbard is leather over a flexible core with nickel plated brass fittings. The belt hanger is black leather with heat-applique silver detailing and a cutout panel.
The blade is a sharpened Hanwei Practice Rapier blade with etching on the ricasso.
