This rapier was commissioned as a family heirloom piece, and includes a personal crest an other iconography of personal importance. The crest is etched on a shield which is attached to the outermost ring of the guard. The rear quillion, quillion block and pommel also sport etched details, as do the scabbard fittings.
The hilt is brass plated steel with a satin finish. The grip is solid PETG covered in brown leather bound with brass wire. The pommel is threaded 6x1mm.
It’s mounted with a sharp 37” Hanwei rapier blade, which is interchangeable with an identical blunt version for sparring or performance.
The scabbard is made with a flexible core covered in brown leather with brass fittings.
