This rapier was commissioned as an engagement gift from a lady to her gentleman. The sword is an ambidextrous design with pierced and etched side rings covered by an etched plate in the shape of two maple leaves. The tree imagery is of personal significance to the couple, and the hilt also features a personal message etched on the underside of the leaf-shell. The hilt is gold-plated steel. The grip is carved PETG covered in white leather. It is mounted with a 36” sharp Hanwei rapier blade. A leather covered flexible-core scabbard with brass fittings and a white belt and carrier complete the package.
