This sidesword was commissioned to celebrate the owner’s elevation to the SCA Order of Defense. The hilt is loosely based on Wallace A600. The side rings and knucklebow are decorated with the owner’s personal heraldry.
The guard and pommel are steel with a solid PETG grip wrapped in steel wire with turk’s head knots. The pommel is threaded 8mm metric.
It’s mounted with a 37” fullered Castille Armory sidesword blade for HEMA.
