Saxon Style HEMA Side-Sword 2

$0.00

This HEMA Sidesword was inspired by a number of Saxon-style rapiers and military swords. The hilt is mild steel steel with wide quillions, a finger ring and a swept counterguard.

The blade is a heavily modified Hanwei Practice Rapier blades. I've had good feedback on these--it's a 43" blade that's shortened to 38" from both ends, producing a flexible but fairly stiff blade. The tang extends all the way through the pommel and secures with a 6mm pommel nut, so the stress point when your pommel gets struck is beefy and unthreaded. The blade can be shortened to whatever your preferred length at no extra charge.

The grip is solid PETG with black leather and steel ferrules.

Weight: 2.2 lbs.
44” Overall Length
38” Blade Length
POB: +3.5” from quillions

This is available with an extra backup blade, so you have a spare to swap in if you experience a blade break during competition.
