This hilt design was inspired by an antique parrying dagger that came through the shop. I took the diamond-interrupted-ring theme and extrapolated it into a 2-ring swept hilt rapier with a 3-bar counterguard.

It’s mounted with a fullered 40” rapier blade for HEMA made by Castille Armory.

The hilt is blued steel with a steel wire-wrapped grip offset with brass ferrules and twisted brass wire. The pommel is threaded 6mm metric.

The scabbard has a flexible core covered in black leather with a brass chape.
