This matched pair of rapiers was commissioned by the bride and groom to be worn on their wedding day. The hilt design was inspired by an antique parrying dagger that came through the shop. I took the diamond-interrupted-ring theme and extrapolated it into a 2-ring swept hilt rapier with a 3-bar counterguard.

The longer sword is mounted with a Hanwei Practice Rapier blade, the shorter one with Hanwei’s slightly more slender Practice Rapier blade.

The hilts are steel with PETG grips covered in brown leather. The pommels are threaded 6mm metric.

The swords come with matching belts, belt hangers and scabbards. Each scabbard has a flexible core covered in brown leather with steel and nickel silver fittings.
