The schiavona-style rapier hilt on this sword is based on an original, although I’ve added extra schiavona-esque bars to the inside of the hilt to offer better hand protection for HEMA sparring. It is mounted with a 35” Malleus Martialis’ Early Sidesword Blade.
The guard is mild steel and the pommel is cast brass. The grip is carved PETG covered in black rayskin and bound with brass wire. The pommels secures with a 6mm nut.
The sword is 41" overall with a 35" blade. It weighs 2.6 lbs and balances about 3.75" in front of the quillions.
