"Skeleton" Rapier

$0.00

This rapier was commissioned as a replica of an antique piece sold at auction last year, dubbed the “Skeleton Rapier”. My rendition is a bit less delicate than the original, but hopefully the resemblance is clear.

My hilt is mounted on a modified 42.5” blunt rapier blade made by Dynamo Lugasnk. I reshaped the ricasso a bit to suit the hilt, and it’s a lovely blade, 8mm thick at the top of the ricasso, tapering down to 6mm as it passes through the quillion block.

The guard and pommel are steel.

The grip is wood wrapped in dark brown leather and twisted steel wire. The pommel is threaded 6mmx1mm.

The scabbard is brown leather over wood with a steel chape.

The weapon weighs 2.9 lbs and is 48.5” long overall. POB is +5” from the quillion block.
