Thibault Two-Port Cross Rapier [HEMA & SHARP]
This rapier was designed to keep the weight very low. It has unusually long quillions (11”) like some of the weapons described in Thibault’s treatise. There are two rings on the outside of the guard, and crossing swept bars on the counterguard. The quillions and rings are decorated with lathed details. The hilt is mild steel. The grip is solid PETG covered in blue leather with steel wire. Pommel is threaded 6mm.
It’s was supplied with both a 39” rapier blade from Castille Armory for HEMA practice and also a 37” Hanwei sharp blade.
