This singlesword has a cast brass Indian-made cutlass hilt whose blade I stole for another project. I’ve remounted it with a 35” Hanwei Practice Rapier blade, so it’s perfect for SAFD-style singlesword but a little more attractive than your standard sport fencing saber hilt. It’s not as nimble as an epee blade would be, but it has great visual presence.

The grip is dyed bone wrapped with wire.

The hilt secures with a 6mm pommel nut.
