This is a bit of an unusual hilt....it's based on a cast brass Swedish military smallsword hilt, but simplified and also modified for use in rapier-style swordplay. The ricasso area is substantially elongated to enable a finger to fit over the quillions. The hilt is built for HEMA, so it's not nearly as delicate as the original its based on. The hilt and pommel are steel, and the grip is leather over wood with a wire twist. The blade is a 32" customized Hanwei Practice Rapier blade with a shortened ricasso. Weight is 1.75 lbs and the POB is 1" in front of the guard.
This sword comes with a custom fit fiberglass core scabbard covered in leather with a metal chape and a button at the scabbard throat.
