This spadroon’s guard was inspired by an antique piece (see final picture). I’ve replicate the intricate cutout design of the guard along with the spiral-carved grip. It’s mounted on a 34” modified Hanwei Practice Rapier blade, which makes quite a good spadroon trainer.

The guard is 12 gauge (0.1”) mild steel and the end of the knucklebow keys to the pommel. The pommel secures with a 6mm pommel nut. The grip is solid PETG wrapped in brown leather bound with brass wire.
