This spadroon was inspired by an antique piece (see final picture). I’ve replicate the intricate cutout design of the guard along with the spiral-carved rayskin grip. Castille Armory has ground a HEMA-friendly blade to match with an undulating flamberge profile in the middle of the blade.
The guard is 12 gauge (0.1”) mild steel and the end of the knucklebow keys to the pommel. The pommel secures with a 6mm pommel nut. The grip is solid PETG wrapped in rayskin with steel wire.
