This cutlass/hanger is on the longer side. The blade is 7075-T651 aluminum with a blunt stage edge.  The wide fuller makes for a very lightweight blade.

The hilt is cast brass (reshaped from its original configuration) with a leather covered wood grip.  The hilt secures with a 3/18-16 nut which locks onto a pinned steel tang.  For more information on this attachment method, CLICK HERE.

The blade is 28", and the sword is 33.5" long overall.    Weight is 1.53 lbs and the POB is 4" in front of the hilt.
