This cutlass/hanger has a cast brass hilt purloined from a reproduction Russian 1798 Light Cavalry Officers Saber. The blade is 7075-T651 aluminum with a blunt stage edge.  It’s fully flat ground, and very nimble.

The grip is black leather over wood.

The hilt is steel and secures with a pommel nut which locks onto a steel threaded rod imbedded in the aluminum tang.  For more information on this attachment method, CLICK HERE.

The blade is 24", and the sword is 29.5" long overall.    Weight is 1.4 lbs and the POB is +2.5" in front of the hilt.     

Comes with a heavy leather scabbard with brass fittings.
