This leaf blade was my first double-edged hollow ground sword.  The blade is the usual 7075-T651 aluminum.  It has blackened steel hilt furniture and a hardwood grip with a spiral wire wrap.  The twisted wire is set into a groove in the wood, so it offers a very secure andcomfortable grip.  The hilt assembly is secured with a 5/16-18 allen nut.  For more information on this attachment method, CLICK HERE.

This blade feels super light even for aluminum, and is easy to maneuver in either a one handed or two handed grip.  Despite the hollow grind the edge is quite thick and durable, and the spine remains a rigid 1/4” thick over almost the whole length.   Stats below:
