This weapon is based on an example depicted in the Maciejowski Bible, an illuminated French medieval manuscript.  It has a polished 1/4" thick 7075-T6 Aluminum blade, deeply ground and fullered to reduce weight. The guard and pommel are steel and the grip is hardwood wrapped with leather.  The hilt secures with a 6mm recessed allen nut which connects to a threaded steel rod inserted into the tang.  For more information on this attachment method, CLICK HERE.
