~ Medieval Weapons ~
A blunt stunt-worthy Duncan Macleod Highlander katana. This sword has a 1/4” 7075-T6 Aluminum blade with a full-thickness rounded edge (i.e. no edge bevel). Most uniquely, however, is the dragon tsuka (handle), which is made from 3D-printed aluminum. This enables a compression mounting with a recessed hex nut hidden in the dragon’s nose. That in turn means the sword rings when struck, which isn’t usually the case with resin handles.
The aluminum gip is treated with stain to bring out the details and sealed with polyurethane sealer.
The rooster tsuba and habaki are a single piece of stainless steel with a hot-brass brushed finish.
